RIP Medical Debt partners with MetroHealth and Cleveland City Council to Eliminate Medical Debt for Local Residents

The MetroHealth System and the national nonprofit RIP Medical Debt are working together to help erase more than $200 million worth of medical debt for 290,761 of the health system’s patients in Northeast Ohio. Those who qualify for medical debt relief are either four times or below the federal poverty level or those whose medical debts are 5% or more of their annual income.

MetroHealth Collaborates with Lifebanc to Streamline the Organ and Tissue Donation Process

The MetroHealth System is partnering with InVita Healthcare Technologies and Lifebanc, the federally designated Organ Procurement Organization serving Northeast Ohio, to automate and enhance the organ and tissue donation process. The partnership recently launched the healthcare interoperability platform iReferral℠ at four MetroHealth facilities. The novel technology allows for automatic referral of MetroHealth patients who are potential organ and/or tissue donors to Lifebanc.

We recently rolled out a new online job portal, designed to help jobseekers better connect with opportunities at our mission-driven organization. The portal makes it easier than ever to share opportunities, sign up for job alerts and more. It also features testimonials from many of our caregivers.
Video Spotlight: MetroHealth Pediatrician Creates Book Club for Students

Christina Randolph, DO, a population health research fellow and trained pediatrician, promotes literacy every day in clinical practice. She has combined her love for reading into her research by creating a book club with students at Garrett Morgan High School. She received funding from the American Academy of Pediatrics and MetroHealth's Brittingham Memorial Library to study how a weekly book club with doctors could inspire students to pursue careers in medicine.
Registration Open for 2024 Men’s Health Fair

MetroHealth’s third Men's Health Fair will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 27, at the MetroHealth Cleveland Heights Medical Center (10 Severance Center, Cleveland Heights) and Cuyahoga Community College's Metropolitan Campus (2900 Community College Avenue, Cleveland). MetroHealth will have physicians and specialists available to answer questions, and attendees will be able to take advantage of more than 30 different free screenings.
